About
The FLL Challenge Prep Course helps students prepare for the FIRST LEGO League Challenge through hands-on learning, including a mock competition. It focuses on understanding the competition rules, developing teamwork skills, learning advanced coding, and working on an innovation project. The course starts with setting team guidelines to ensure active contributions from all members. Students explore robot design and programming, focusing on stable construction, advanced coding with LEGO SPIKE Prime, and strategies for optimizing robot game missions to improve performance and time management. A key aspect of the course is community building. Through team projects and activities, students learn to value each other's strengths, collaborate effectively, and develop a sense of camaraderie. This collaborative environment encourages inclusivity, respect, and support among peers. The course also emphasizes Core Values such as teamwork, discovery, and innovation, teaching students to work together, respect diverse perspectives, and embrace creativity. Students are encouraged to explore new ideas and solutions while making a positive impact on the community. These Core Values not only help students succeed in the FLL Challenge but also prepare them for success in life. By the end of the course, students gain the skills, confidence, and mindset necessary to excel in the competition and in future endeavors.
